January Monday Guest Designer #5

How fun is it that January has 5 Mondays?  To me it means that I get to be guest designer for another Monday over at the All That Scraps Blog.  This has been so fun for me.  And I get another 4 Mondays in February, how fun is that?!!!  Just give me March and April too!! LOL, I love these stamps, what can I say, I have said for a long time that I love all of CC Designs stamps.  These ladies over there are so talented!!!
Anyways, on to the cards that were featured today.  I used the Love Lolita Butterfly and the Love Lolita Honeybee today.  The first sentiment came from the set by AmyR called Sassy Sentiments, there are so many fun sentiments on this set. You will be seeing a lot of cards with this set in the future!!

It is hard to see on camera, but there is a lot of texture on this card.  I used glossy accents and stickles on her wings.  The dots in the background came from a tutorial over at my friend Dana's Inspirations Blog.
Hers is so much prettier than mine, but with practice and different colors everything gets better!!
The next card is one of my fave little Valentines I have done.  I used a shaped Nestie to get the shape of the card and the image, then I used this fun cloud paper and cut out clouds.  The sentiment for this card is from the Funny Valentines set.  Can't wait to show you next month what else I have done with this fun set!!
Isn't she cute!!!  I stamped her a second time and cut out her honey pot and wing.  Then I glittered up her wing with some Martha Stewart glitter and used Glossy Accents on her dripping honey.  Isn't that little bee charm the best?  Found that at Michaels on clearance.

Do you see that fun new Watermark?  That was done by my friend Dana as well, it just took me a while to figure out how to add it to my creations!!
As Always, thanks so much for stopping by my blog.  Head on over to the All That Scraps Store and check out their gorgeous stamps they released for January.  And you know what, tomorrow is the first of February so I am sure they will be having a new release tomorrow. How fun is that!!!

Thinking of you ABS Challenge

Hey there, back again with another card.  I got this lovely image over at Paper Craft Planet.  She was a freebie for the group having 100 members.  You should head on over and become a member of this fun group.  Anita Be Stampin has both rubber and digi images.  I wished I loved digi as much as I love Rubber.  Hmmm, less expensive and less mess.  But you know what?  There is something about inking up a stamp that I love.  However, this image is a digi today!!!  When I was last at the Craft Warehouse, they had this paper by My Minds Eye, Sophia on 50% off.  I love the oranges and greens in it.  I thought it would be perfect for this weeks challenge over at the Anita Be Stampin Challenge Blog.  Don't you just love a good sketch?  I really need to start using sketches more often, the cards come together so easily!!!  My card was based on this sketch.
This was a good sketch to play with. I will use it again!!!
What do you think?  Isn't she pretty in orange?  The dress is colored with YR-68, 65, 61.  The shirt is   BG-34,23,G-00.  Shoes are E-47, 44, 43. Hair is E-11, 13, 17. Skin colors are E-93, 01, 00, 000.  Flower is R-24, 22, 21.  And I always color the eyes green like mine! LOL, unless I color for a specific person! So the Eyes are YG-93,97.  I should have taken a picture!!
I used my new lacy nestabilities and a new cuttlebug die cut that I found as well.  And of course I finished out the inside.  And that thinking of you sentiment stamp is from Amy R for All that Scraps.
I hope that you will head on over to the Store.  They have some adorable stamps and are having a new release tomorrow.  Or today I suppose. On the West Coast it is still Friday as I am posting.  As always thanks for stopping by.  If you have time, scroll on down for a post I did earlier today with a new LOTV stamp.

You're Tea~riffic

I just love these stamps from LOTV.  They are so cute!!  This little stamp kind of reminds me of me and my twin sister Rebecca.  We used to have "tea" when we were younger.  I remember learning to drink team from my Gramma Lusch.  It was mostly milk, sugar, and tea.  And always a cookie to go with it!  I have been trying to make cards for several women that brought me and my husband meals when I recently had surgery. This card will go to one of them.  One of the things I love is to find "Christmas" paper after Christmas marked down that can be used for other things besides Christmas projects. I found this gorgeous paper with the purples and teals and just love it!!!  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Challenge this week over at Crafty Catz Week is to add flowers.  The challenge over at  The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is it's a couple thing.  I love these 2 darling girls in this image.  And over at the Stampin for the Weekend blog the theme is getting warmed up, and the Crafty Creations Challenges the theme is Let's heat it up.  When I am cold, nothing is better than a good cup of tea, or coffee!  I am also going to enter this card on the icopic challenge. I have never put one card into so many challenges before.  I hope you enjoy my card, I love the end result, but how could you not when you look at these little darlings!!

And of course a look at the inside, easy peasy!!  I added a little tea bag stamp to the corner.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Always a pleasure to have you.

The Outlawz Tuesday Challenge

I can't believe that we are already on our 3rd Tuesday Color Challenge over at the Outlawz.  We have some pretty talented girls over there with some pretty amazing projects.  The challenge this week is Orange, grey, and cream.  OK, that was a challenge for me!!  Except for one thing, I had this awesome orange, grey, and cream paper from Basic Grey that was absolutely perfect for this challenge!  You know what else was perfect for this challenge?  My new stamp from Lily of the Valley called Time for a cuppa.  Oh my gosh she is adorable!!!  Please, I do not need another addiction!!!  OK, here is the inspiration picture.
And here is my card!!

Am I right?  Isn't this paper delish!!  And this stamp?  I love it!!!  I put some scribbles paint on the cupcake and added some chunky glitter for the sprinkles.  I had this darling teapot charm that I added with some sheer ribbon on a floral silver ribbon.  I hope you like it.  I love the simplicity of it.  Well, dang it, I just love this image!!!!  I hope you will hop on over to the Outlawz Color challenge. You can still play along on the other weeks.  We would love to have you.

I have a ton of thank you cards to make, this will go to one of the lovely ladies that recently brought us dinner after my surgery.  I was truly blessed!!

All That Scraps Guest Design Team Spot Jan 24

I had so much fun making todays projects.  In fact I have the paper cut out to make about 32 more!!  Hopefully I can get that done.  Sometimes I bite off more than I can chew!!  Anyways I have a new favorite stamp.  I just love this Swiss Pixie Violet.  She is so fun to color.  I know you have seen her before.  You will see her again!!!  And this little Sweet November Cinder is so darling.  I don't have a lot of stamps that are great for boys but I think my grandson will love him!!!!

Aren't these darling?  You can find this technique called a Teabag fold on  Split Coast Stampers.  It is so fun and I thought it would be perfect for Valentines day.  The papers on the first are some Fancy Pants that I have had in my stash, and the one with Cinder are American Crafts and Bo Bunny.

Instead of tea bags I have put Ghiradelli squares of chocolate.  The brads and ribbons and buttons are from my stash.  The sentiment is the Swiss Pixie Key and Lock.  Just love it.  I still am going to order the die cut as well.
Over at the All That Scraps Blog they also showcased a fun card I made using Sweet November Arabella.  She is so gorgeous!!  I thought she needed to be on something, so I dug out my swing from Magnolia.  I can't find this stamp, not sure if it is still for sale, I have had it for a couple of years.  And a sentiment from  Whimsey.

Isn't she darling. Super fun to color.  The papers are from a 6X6 stack from My Minds Eye.  Love it and the colors in these papers!!  And on the inside of this card I used the darling Sweet November Meadow.  What little girl doesn't love unicorns!!  This January line of Sweet November stamps are absolutely Magical!!!

A close up of Meadow!
I don't have the colors of the copic markers, I used so many.  If you really want to know leave me a message and I can figure it out for you!!!  Hope I didn't over load you with too many pictures today.
As always, I love your visits!!  Wish we could sit a spell with a cup of lemon tea and honey.  I have a little cold today so tea over coffee today!!!

300 members!!! Wow!! Double Wow Blog Hop!!

Guylou's Inimitability Group on CDAC has reached 300 members and we are celebrating!! Party!! Party!! Party!! The DT decided to go down the memory lane and show some of our favorite projects made with Guylou's Inimitability Digis. This is a blog hop, folks!! Let's have some fun!!

Guylou’s Inimitability is where you will start and end the blog hop and if you have come here from Dale's Treasured Moments then you are going in the right direction! If not, then please start at Guylou’s Inimitability or refer to the blog hop list at the bottom of this post to get you on the right track. The hop will be open today from 9:00 am to 9:00pm EST.

This seems like a lot of fun doesn't it?  And not a lot of work for me!!  I get to showcase my favorite cards.  Anyone that knows me will know what card I am going to pick!!!  OK, so the story is that one day I was on the way to work and the announcer on the radio station I was listening to was talking about something she saw that said, "fill your cup and nourish others with your overflow".  Sounded like a good sentiment for a coffee card, and you all know I am all about my coffee cards!!!   I couldn't find an image I liked to go with this sentiment, so I asked G, whenever she had time, could she draw me an image of a woman sitting over her morning devotions with her cup of coffee.  She drew this up in nothing flat and sent it to me!!  Oh, and she named it Brenda, how cool is that!!!  She is so talented!
And here is my other card I made with my favorite image.

We can play with this image if we are tea lovers too!!

Let's not forget the prize ladies!!!  Guylou has put together a yummy RAK for the winner of this blog hop as well as an image of your choice.  C'mon, i know you want this Brenda image.  Make sure you leave a comment on my post as well as the other design team members, then head on over and enter in the drawing!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed what you saw! Your next stop is ginasgorillaspeak. Have fun!

Another Guylou's Inimitability Challenge

Welcome to another Guylou's Inimitability challenge.
Valentine's Day is coming quickly.  I have wonderful memories of Valentines Day.  My dad would always bring home a big Heart of chocolates to my mom and a smaller heart for each of us kids.  I have some really wonderful memories of my childhood with this holiday.  I always loved making and giving valentines.  It was not often that we bought boxed cards to give out.  I remember making cards with paper doilies and glitter and glue.  I still love to make Valentines.  In fact, I prefer making valentines over any other cards.  Maybe part of that is the colors, reds, and pinks are my favorite to play with.  Today there are so many amazing paper choices out there.  I have bought Bo Bunny and American Crafts, and I have left overs from Cosmic Cricket and AMM.  Love them all!!!
When I think of Valentines Day I think of Cupids.  Usually they are little bare babies holding arrows.  Guylou's store has a gorgeous new Cupid that she provided to her design team to make Valentine Cards with.  Here is my card!
What do you think?  Isn't she gorgeous!!!  The cream rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The paper is from American Crafts.  I didn't get a pic of my copics, but the Reds used are the R-27,24,22,21.  The strip of red paper with hearts is Bo Bunny.
I sure hope that you will play along with this challenge.  It is pretty easy to enter, the rules are on G's blog.
If you don't have an image, head on over to the store and purchase your own, or if you would like to join us at CDAC there is a new freebie for hitting 300.  There is also a freebie on G's site for joining.  See no reason at all not to join the challenge!!
And as always, thanks for stopping by.  I love visitors!!
I worked hard on the inside and forgot to show it!!  So here it is!!

Lily Of The Valley Challenge 81

As I said yesterday, I have been browsing through everyones blogs lately and fell in love with these darling LOTV stamps.  I was excited to see the new challenge this week at LOTV challenge blog was a sketch.  I love a good sketch and I really enjoyed working with this one.

I bought these awesome papers by My Minds Eye.  I love the gorgeous pink and green colors of these papers.  I wish I had bought a ton of this pink plaid paper!  It is so yummy!!
Anyone that knows me knows that I would fall in love with this stamp.  My friend Gina linked it a while back but I was wary of ordering from the UK.  You know what, the shipping was quick!!  And not that spendy either!!  I also invested in some flowers from wild orchid crafts.  They have the best paper flowers and even with shipping from the UK, the most inexpensive flowers I have bought.  I may have went a bit overboard.  Nah!!!
Last Friday I had a second surgery and the Church that my husband and I have been going to since Christmas brought us meals every night until last night.  How awesome is that?  Anyways, I have lots of Thank you cards to make.  Lots!!!!!  This will go to one of the women that brought us a meal this week.
Let me show you the inside.
Very simple inside, but isn't that paper just delish!!!  The solid paper is from Coredinations.  It is glittery.  And it is the perfect color to go with the R-85,83,81 that I used on the dresses.  The greens are YG-05,03,01,00.  Hair Y-26,23,21  and  E-13,17,11.  I also used on the shoes E-74,77 and E-25,27,21.   The flower pots are E-97 and 99.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Wish I could brew us a cup of tea and we could sit and color together!!

LOTV birthday card

So last Friday was my grandson Gunner's 2nd birthday.  How does Grammy celebrate it?  Why by having another surgery and skipping his party of course!!!  Thank goodness I dropped in on his party with all his friends from church!  It is not everyday you turn 2.  I ordered some stamps from Lily of the Valley earlier this month.  I have been hopping through blogland a lot lately!!  2 surgeries in 2 months will do that to you.  So in blogland I have been seeing so many CUTE cards made with these stamps from LOTV and I finally ordered some.  I was a little hesitant ordering from the UK, but am so glad I jumped in and bought from them.  The shipping was so fast!!  Anyways, I bought this little cutie specifically because I don't have much in the way of boy stamps.  I made a really simple card.  Not a lot to it.  A 2 year old boy will just pull it apart anyways right?
I guess you can call this a clean and simple card.  I also used my cuttlebug and embossing folder.  The colors were pretty simple.  I used my favorite jean colors: B-97,95,93,91 and greens YG-05,03,01,00 and for his hair E-11,13,17.  Skin colors E-000,00,01.  The box uses E-53,51,50.
And a picture of my 5 grandbabies with Gunner the birthday boy in the center. I call this one "Center of Attention!"

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I am entering this at the raise the bar challenge it is "oh to be a kid again".  I am also entering it into the challenge over at The sisterhood of crafters the challenge is a birthday theme.

3rd Monday Guest Design Spot

Usually I am not a big fan of Mondays!!!  That is the back to work, my weekend is over day!  But this month I have looked forward to seeing my creations as the Guest Designer on the All that Scraps Blog.  Also, on my Facebook page.   I have been creating with All That Scraps CC Designs stamps for some time now and as you all know I love them.  When I received my package from All that Scraps, I was introduced to some pretty adorable princesses.  These stamps are from another line called Sweet November Stamps.  Having had 2 daughters and now 4 granddaughters, I know a lot about Princesses!!  LOL.  The 2 cards that were showcased today are Isadora and Lilliane.  Aren't these princesses just adorable?

This sentiment is absolutely perfect with this image.  It was not designed for this stamp, but it sure looks like it.  It is from AmyR's sentiment set Critter Sentiments.  Don't you just love this around the edge punch from Martha Stewart?  This paper is from the Quite Contrary Line by My Minds Eye.  I don't have a pic of the copics on this one, but they are my fave pinks, R-89,85,83,81.

I used the sentiment set, again from AmyR called All about love.  The ribbon on here is some antique ribbon that I have hung on to for some time, until I found just the right project for, and this was it.  It also pairs some red ribbon from Fancy Pants that I have had in my stash for some time.  Don't you just love that paper with the crowns from My Minds Eye, alphabet soup~Little Princess Girl.  Darling and perfect for these princess stamps.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Make sure you pop in tomorrow for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at The Outlaws.
I am also entering this over at http://makeitcolourful.com/ the challenge is color with red.
