Time for a Blog Candy

This post will stay on top. Blog candy available until March 31, 2011

So my blogger friend Dana recently did a post about prismacolor pencils versus copic markers.  She got me intrigued.  What do I do when I get intrigued?  I go to Ebay and start looking!!  Needless to say I bid on 2 sets of prismacolors and won them both.  Well you know I am going to keep the 48 for myself.  Now I could have put them back on Ebay, but instead I saved them to go with my Blog Candy.  I recently hit 100 followers.  Now, I would like to celebrate that fact!!  And hopefully get a few more!!  But first I want to show you what I did with my Prismacolors and my new RV-63,66's.  I think we need a color in between as well.  There is a a real difference in these colors.  I started by choosing this fabulous ribbon I got off of Ebay, then chose my papers, then my pencils and markers.  The markers are almost purple but are called raspberry.  I used a Sweet November Lillian stamp and buttons so I could enter it into the Challenge at All That Scraps this week.  So first off I am going to show you my two images.
The one on the left is colored with prismacolor premier pencils.  The one on the right is colored with my copic markers.  So the pencils are going to take some work, but it was my first time.
Then  I went ahead and finished them both off on a card.  I used my favorite sentiments by AmyR  called Sassy Sentiments.  There are some new ones out this month, I need to run over and shop for!! LOL

I will say that it was fun to play with a new medium.  I will need more practice though!!  What I really was thinking though is that it will be so much easier to load up the pencils and OMS in the travel trailer than to pack up all my markers this summer!

OK, now back to the blog candy.  This will be pretty easy.  All you have to do is:
1. be a follower of my blog.
2. put a pic of my blog candy in your side bar.
3. enter using the froggy below.
I would also love you to comment and let me know what you think of the differences between the prisma and the copics.  And feel free to send people my way.

Do you see all the goodies.  A 36 package of premier prismacolor pencils, 2 copic markers, some of my favorite coffee ribbon, some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some Neenah paper, a Calendar for you to design, 2 new Sweet November stamps, and pearls!!

Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge

It is time for another color challenge over at the Outlawz!  It is March Madness and we have a fabulous color palette this week.  Your colors are light blue, purple, and creamy white.  The Madness this week is to add a charm.  Hmmmm, those that know me, know that part is not really a challenge! I love to add charms to cards!
I started a couple different cards with this palette, but finally ended up by using the sketch over at All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge.  Love that challenge. It is always fun to combine a couple.  I see how some people add their cards to 5 or 10 or more challenges. I just don't know how they can do it!  2 is about as high as I can go!!
Isn't she darling?  You all know how I love CC Designs images.  I added some glitter to her wings of course!  I tried to get a close up of the dragonfly charm.  It has purple eyes.  The make a wish tag is from Whimsey.
The inside is pretty simple again today.
I hope you will pop on over to the Outlawz and check out the Color challenge today.  It will run through next Tuesday!  And there are some fun new blinkies for your blogs!  There are still a couple of days to get in on the drawing for the $50 gift certificate from Oozak!
Thanks so much for stopping by, there will be 2 posts today, so make sure you come on back to see the Anita Be Stampin challenge!!

Anything Goes Challenge at Guylou's Inimitability

What's not to love about an Anything Goes Challenge?  The Challenge over at Guylou's Inimitability is Anything Goes.  We had some fabulous entries to the last challenge.  I hope you can find your way over to Guylou's site and join in this challenge.  The challenges go on for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to get your creations done.
Guylou's Inimitability Design Team got to play with the feature digistamps called "Phillip" and "Molly". "Phillip" and "Molly" are hard working people in an industry that is not always appreciative of their service. Next time you go to a restaurant, please take a moment to thank your waitress and send a good word to the cook, that will make their day.
I chose to work with Molly.  I took the colors for my card from this peach colored card.  I really haven't played much with this color.  I actually used some reds for the peachy color on this card.
Do you ever have your project done and then you start adding stuff you shouldn't have.  Well last minute I added glitter to her cake and well, I shouldn't have.  It looks fine IRL, but to photograph it, nope, doesn't really work!!  I think any musical paper looks good with a birthday card, you know, there is usually some singing going on.  I also used my CC Designs Tag it and Rubber Stamp set to cut the flowers. I used some white ink to soften the edges of the flowers.  The stamp is from AmyR Sassy Sentiments set.

You will have until March 3rd, 10:00 pm (EST or click here to find out the corresponding time where you are) to enter your cards or projects here. Be sure to add the link to your entry and not your whole blog as this makes it much easier on the team to find your creations.

As always, thank you for stopping by my blog, today instead of putting on a pot of coffee, I suggest we go out to my favorite coffee shop, where we can be served by one of these great wait persons!!

Happy Monday Guest Spot at All That Scraps

Can you believe we are half way through February?  Happy Valentines Day to you all.  Today I am not featuring Valentines though!!  Today I used the new February release stamps at All That Scraps.  I love the new Bouquet Brigitta and the new Spring Kiki La Rue.  They are so versatile.  You can use them for any reason that you might share flowers!  The other thing that I featured in todays creations is the new Tags it Rubber Stamp and Die Set/.  How great is this set?!!  I love that you can cut out a tag and then border it with the stamp. I also used the flowers on my Thank you card today.
I just love this My Mind's Eye paper. I went looking for it yesterday, it was all gone at the craft store I found it at!  I just love coloring her hair!! I added glitter to her wings and added a flower from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the 2 turquoise ones from Recollections.
The next card I used a Martha Stewart punch and branch punch along with my flowers. Again the bigger rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the smaller from Recollections. The thing I was worried about ordering flowers from the UK, but oh my goodness they are inexpensive and fast.  Love that site!!

I loved the music paper, I thought it was fitting for someone singing, "Happy Birthday to You."

On both of these cards today I gave a little curl to the tags.   It just gives a little dimension to the card.
As always, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today.  I only have 2 more weeks as Guest Design Team member for All That Scraps.  How sad is that!!!  I love playing with these fun images.
Have a great Monday everyone, now let me get back to drinking my coffee!!!

Monday Guest Spot at All That Scraps

Happy Monday!!  Normally, I am not a Monday kinda gal, but the last 2 months I have been excited to see Monday.  Monday mornings I head over to All That Scraps Blog to see which of my projects that I sent are spotlighted for the Monday Guest Design Team spot.  For February I got to play with the new AmyR Get Well Sentiments along with the new Swiss Pixie Bouquet Birgitta and the new Spring Kiki La Rue.  You all know how much I LOVE both the Swiss Pixies and the Kiki La Rues!!  So it was so much fun to play with these!  I love the sentiment stamps.
Guess what?  I made my own umbrella!!!  I had one from a layered sticker set that did not match what I needed so I took a circle punch and an oval scalloped nestie and made my own!!  I had this fabulous paper from My Minds Eye.  I thought it was perfect for this sentiment.  I used some stickles on the flowers and her necklace.  I had some raindrops that I also added.
Now, the next card is with Swiss Pixie Brigitta.  I just love coloring this image. She is so much fun to color!!
Do you see those flowers?  They are part of a new CC Designs Tags it Rubber Stamp and Die Set.  How fun are these?  You get not only the die but also stamps to give dimension.  I inked mine with a white ink and added pearls to the center.
I also added glitter to her little wings and highlighted her flowers.  On these I wanted to make them look like yellow daisies.  So springy, I hope the sun starts shining soon for all of us!!  And the center of this card.
I love this Martha Stewart around the edge punch for a simple inside to your cards.
As always, thanks for stopping by today.  Need to finish my cup of coffee and then get a move on it today!!!

I Heart You!!!

Did you know that February is Heart Month?  Makes perfect sense to me!!  Everywhere I look this month I see hearts!!  In honor of Heart Month our challenge over at Guylou's Inimitability will be "hearts". There has to be at least 1 heart on your project for this challenge.  Guylou recently added a new free digi image over at CDAC when she hit 500 members to her group.  There is a free image at her store when you become a follower.  She has added several new Heart themed images that would be perfect for this challenge, including the featured image that we are playing with today!  This image is so versatile!  I used a stamp from All That Scraps to sit on this awesome Love Seat image.  That is where my hearts are.  On that  Love seat!   And that sentiment from AmyR has some hearts.

Don't you just love this paper?  It is from My Minds Eye.  It is actually a Valentine line.  I have to say I love this lamp next to the Love Seat, it was fun adding some "light" shining out.
I hope you will hop on over and enter our challenge.
The winner will be awarded a digi image of your choice as well as be invited to be a guest designer on a future challenge and receive the feature image free for that challenge.  You will have until February 17th at  10:00 PM Est.  There is also some fabulous inspiration over there from Guylou's Design Team.  And Guylou has added some information for you over there for Heart month.
As always, thanks for stopping by today.  I have some fun stuff to share with you in the next few days so I hope you will stop back on by again!!

January Monday Guest Designer #5

How fun is it that January has 5 Mondays?  To me it means that I get to be guest designer for another Monday over at the All That Scraps Blog.  This has been so fun for me.  And I get another 4 Mondays in February, how fun is that?!!!  Just give me March and April too!! LOL, I love these stamps, what can I say, I have said for a long time that I love all of CC Designs stamps.  These ladies over there are so talented!!!
Anyways, on to the cards that were featured today.  I used the Love Lolita Butterfly and the Love Lolita Honeybee today.  The first sentiment came from the set by AmyR called Sassy Sentiments, there are so many fun sentiments on this set. You will be seeing a lot of cards with this set in the future!!

It is hard to see on camera, but there is a lot of texture on this card.  I used glossy accents and stickles on her wings.  The dots in the background came from a tutorial over at my friend Dana's Inspirations Blog.
Hers is so much prettier than mine, but with practice and different colors everything gets better!!
The next card is one of my fave little Valentines I have done.  I used a shaped Nestie to get the shape of the card and the image, then I used this fun cloud paper and cut out clouds.  The sentiment for this card is from the Funny Valentines set.  Can't wait to show you next month what else I have done with this fun set!!
Isn't she cute!!!  I stamped her a second time and cut out her honey pot and wing.  Then I glittered up her wing with some Martha Stewart glitter and used Glossy Accents on her dripping honey.  Isn't that little bee charm the best?  Found that at Michaels on clearance.

Do you see that fun new Watermark?  That was done by my friend Dana as well, it just took me a while to figure out how to add it to my creations!!
As Always, thanks so much for stopping by my blog.  Head on over to the All That Scraps Store and check out their gorgeous stamps they released for January.  And you know what, tomorrow is the first of February so I am sure they will be having a new release tomorrow. How fun is that!!!

3rd Monday Guest Design Spot

Usually I am not a big fan of Mondays!!!  That is the back to work, my weekend is over day!  But this month I have looked forward to seeing my creations as the Guest Designer on the All that Scraps Blog.  Also, on my Facebook page.   I have been creating with All That Scraps CC Designs stamps for some time now and as you all know I love them.  When I received my package from All that Scraps, I was introduced to some pretty adorable princesses.  These stamps are from another line called Sweet November Stamps.  Having had 2 daughters and now 4 granddaughters, I know a lot about Princesses!!  LOL.  The 2 cards that were showcased today are Isadora and Lilliane.  Aren't these princesses just adorable?

This sentiment is absolutely perfect with this image.  It was not designed for this stamp, but it sure looks like it.  It is from AmyR's sentiment set Critter Sentiments.  Don't you just love this around the edge punch from Martha Stewart?  This paper is from the Quite Contrary Line by My Minds Eye.  I don't have a pic of the copics on this one, but they are my fave pinks, R-89,85,83,81.

I used the sentiment set, again from AmyR called All about love.  The ribbon on here is some antique ribbon that I have hung on to for some time, until I found just the right project for, and this was it.  It also pairs some red ribbon from Fancy Pants that I have had in my stash for some time.  Don't you just love that paper with the crowns from My Minds Eye, alphabet soup~Little Princess Girl.  Darling and perfect for these princess stamps.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Make sure you pop in tomorrow for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at The Outlaws.
I am also entering this over at http://makeitcolourful.com/ the challenge is color with red.

Today marks the first Tuesday Color Challenge over at The Outlawz new challenge site.  How fun is this, there is a different challenge for every day of the week. How many of you have gone looking for challenges, then forgot where you found it?  OK so maybe that is just me!!!  You can now find a challenge for whatever you are doing.

Sunday: Clean and Simple
Monday: Birthday Cards
Tuesday: Color
Wednesday: Sketch
Thursday: Prisma and Other Mediums
Friday: Copic
Saturday: Scrapbooking
Also, they are still looking for design team members as well as sponsors for challenges.  I am the Co-leader for the Tuesday Color Challenge.  To begin this month we have one of my favorite color combinations, especially at this time of year.
Red, Pink, and White
Don't you know that I am going to use my new favorite stamp by CC Designs at the All That Scraps store.  I just love this Swiss Pixie.  I know you saw her yesterday, but I am afraid you will see her again!! LOL   It is too cute not to use over and over!!
Don't you just love her!!???  I used a pink glitter on her wings.  I found it hard to color with both red and pink, and wasn't sure that it would work until it was completely done.  I hope you like the end results.  This ribbon is from a wedding that i went to in September.  It says Lucky in Love.  You should have seen me trying to gather ribbon and heart charms from other guests at the wedding, I promised to make some cards to get the charms and ribbon.  This may be one of them!  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder as well as this awesome nestie.  Love this Label die set.  These yummy papers are from Bo Bunny. You can find them at ATS here.  Or at your local scrap store as I did!
I had these felt heart stickers in my stash. That fabulous sentiment is from Amy R, All About Love set.
Of course you want to see the inside of the card.
And the Copics used for this project:

Now make sure you hop on over to the Tuesday Color Challenge and join in.  We would love to see you.
All new members of the site will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift certificate at Susanas custom art and card design.  Who wouldn't want that?  You can find some awesome stuff over there, my favorite being Victoria Case, you can click on my blinkie on the right to see what she has over there!!!  The drawing will be held next Monday.
As always thanks for stopping by my blog. I love to have you.
I am also entering this card in the challenge over at http://onecrazystampercom.blogspot.com/2011/01/january-love-challenge.html.  The challenge is January Love.

All That Scraps Guest Design Team Spot #2

Hi everyone. I have been so excited to share with you my cards for the Guest Design spot over at All That Scraps,  Any of you that have been following my blog for a while will know that the CC Designs Stamps are some of my favorite stamps ever! In fact I have a huge collection of them, so you can just imagine how excited I was to ink up these darling Swiss Pixie Stamps that I received in the mail to play along this month for my Monday spots.  I may have a new favorite stamp.  Check out how darling this Swiss Pixie Violet with Key is.
I found this perfect paper in my stash.  For the life of me I can't find the maker.  If I find it I will post it.
Did you see the perfect sentiment?  That sentiment is from The Swiss Pixie Key and Lock set as is that darling heart in the right hand corner of the card and the key on the inside.  They also have an awesome new die cut set that I can't seem to get a hold of as it is out of stock!!!!  But I will, when it comes back in!!
My next card that was showcased today is another Swiss Pixie.  This time it is Swiss Pixie Sweetheart Birgitta.  She is perfect to put on one of CC Designs Sugar Plums Stump stamps.
Can you see how I popped the mushrooms and Birgitta up to give dimension?
And of course an inside shot, check out the amazing Valentine paper by BoBunny.  So fun!!!
This was so fun sharing with you today. Hope you can make it back again tomorrow for a new challenge,  as well as next Monday for my next spot on the All That Scraps blog.  Thanks for stopping by!

All That Scraps Guest Design Team Spot

Anyone that knows me, knows that the ultimate dream would be for me to be on the All That Scraps design team. OK, so this is not quite the team, but I was asked last month by AmyR, (that is the AmyR from AmyR stamps) to do a guest team spot for the All That Scraps Monday Guest Team spot.  So funny thing about that is I got a post from Amy here on one of my blogs asking if I had gotten her email, you can't imagine how excited I was. I went to my inbox and couldn't find her email.  I found it in my Junk box. Really, not junk at all!!!!  I was so glad she left me a message here.  Now I check my junk every day.  Last month was a hard month for me as I was recovering from surgery and just not up to spending as much time in my scrap book room as I normally would have. But every chance I could I played with the new january stamps.  This card is the first one that I colored up with my copics.
Isn't she adorable?!!!  You can find this Love Lolita Ladybug with the new January stamps.  I had so much fun with this card.  I had these sparkly pink ladybug buttons, thus the color scheme. And I had to add this cute little ladybug charm I had. I used my label nestie and paper pad that I received from my friend Gina.  The roses are from recollections,
And of course you need to see the inside.
The copics I used on this image are pictured:
I am so excited to share this post today, I hope you will join me every Monday in January and February to see what I have created with my very favorite stamps!  Just grab your cup of coffee and meet me back here next week!!!  Thanks for stopping by today.
