New Grandbaby

I thought I would share a couple pictures this morning of my new grandson born yesterday.  This is Ralph Eugene Ogle IV.  He came to us at 7 lbs, 10 oz and 19.5 lbs.

So I don't have a good picture of myself with the baby!  Maybe when I get my daughter's pics I will have one to show, but this is my dear husband, Ralph Jr.
And here are the 3 Ralphs.  I am in love!!

Anita Be Stampin Challenge #18

It is Tuesday and you know what that means?  Yup, another Anita Be Stampin Challenge.  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. I got to see all 5 of my grandbabies.  My son and daughter in law are due in the next 2 weeks with my second grandson.  Looking forward to that.  Anyways, this week we have another great sketch from our very own Jen.  She has supplied us with a great sketch this week.
Isn't that fun?  There are lots of layers on this one.  I decided to use my Rosie Shops set this week.  I got a lovely surprise from my friend Gina this week. She found one of my favorite paper packs from DCWV at Marshalls and surprised me with it!!  Just love that girl!!  Anyways, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to play with Rosie Shops so I can use some of the fabulous papers!!  This is such a great set, you get 6 sentiments and shoes, and charge cards, and of course Rosie!!
I decided to sew all my layers together with a deep pink thread.  I paper pieced my shopping bag.  Here is a good view of how many layers and how it is popped up.
We have some new design team members at Anita Be Stampin.  I hope you will check out all the talent of the "new" and "old" design team.  I am happy to say that Anita asked me to stick around for the next design team term.

I hope you will join us this week for the challenge.  The more entries we have, the more chances you have to win a prize!!!  All the rules are posted over on the challenge site.
Well, I wish I could put the pot on and share a cup of coffee and some chat with you!!
Also, don't forget to check out my other post this morning!

Hey ladies, we only need 5 more followers at Paper Craft Planet for Anita to give us another freebie. Anyone out there not a member yet?  Come on ladies! :)

Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge

Welcome back to another Tuesday Color Challenge at the Outlawz!!  This weeks challenge is just that, a challenge!!!  Rox picked a hard inspiration for me!!
Magenta, yellow, celery and the twist this week is to add argyle.  Really, argyle?  C'mon Rox, that is hard to do!!  Oh well, I went through my paper stash and don't you know I have some MME paper that is argyle, has yellow, magenta, and green.  Lets just say that my celery is a darker green kind of sage colored celery, OK?

The stamp is from a set from Close To My Heart, the lace from Wild Orchid Crafts and these roses are from Michaels Recollection collection.  I used Watermelon ink from CTMH and then inked the white with Honey.

Now don't forget, this is the last week to enter in to win a prize from Shelly's Images.
As well as a chance to win from Oozak and SCACD.  Such great sponsors. Getting ready to order me some refills for some of my copic markers myself!!

Did everyone have a fabulous Easter? I have a wonderful family with 5 grandkids.  I thought I would share a few pics from yesterday.
The grandbabies, plus 1.  Peighton, Amaya(not my granddaughter but she likes to call me gramma), Gunner, Kiah, and Jemma getting ready to hunt for eggs.
Nova
And my favorite face, Nova's "say cheese" face! LOL she cracks me up!!

And don't forget to come back for my other project today!!

A Day Late and a Dollar Short

Remember that saying? Am I aging myself?  Well, I am a day late to this weeks Challenge over at Guylou's Inimitability.   Excuses, excuses.. Well, I really thought I could get this done in time.  Last Friday I had my 3rd surgery in  less than 5 months and it seems that this one took the most out of me. I have only left the house to walk around the block a few times and my one appointment to the doctor.  So, that is my excuse! I got my image of Jace colored earlier this week and just couldn't get myself into my craft room to put this card together until yesterday.  But I did get it done!!
Today's challenge was hosted by our very own Tracy.  Her inspiration colors are as follows:
Great colors.  There is a twist though, Tracy challenged us to use something that we found around the house, something unconventional.  I found a copper washer thingy.  Not quite the washer but the flatter piece that goes on the other side. You know what I mean!!  I forgot the black! But I did use a deep Brown in its place!  Maybe I should have just given up!!!  Anyways, here is my card for todays challenge.
Yeah, this card is really not like what I usually do, but I really had fun coloring this image. I think it is an awesome image for so many things.  Hope you will join us in the challenge. It will really make you think outside the box!!  I know it did me!
So glad you stopped by today.  Tomorrow is Easter, what an amazing holiday. Time to remember what our Lord and Savior has done for us. I hope that you all enjoy your time with family and friends, and eggs, and chocolate and take the time to reflect on what the day really means. I know I will!

Anita Be Stampin Challenge #17

Happy Tuesday!!!  It is time for another Anita Be Stampin Challenge.  Wow, we had a lot of participants last week with our Anything Goes challenge.  Hope you had time to play along.  This week our very own Jen supplied us with a sketch.

I decided to use my Bears & Bunches for my card this week.  This is a great set. You get 2 images and 3 sentiments with this set.  I wanted to try something new. I have never done a monochromatic card.  I used all E's on this card.  iCopic is having a challenge this week using the theme monochromatic, so I think I will enter this in the challenge over there.

I hope you will stop by Anita Be Stampin Challenge this week and enter the sketch challenge.  We have several prizes up for grabs. The more that play, the more prizes there are!!  The design team once again have done some awesome inspiration projects.  Head on over and take a look!!

I also want to enter this card at Copic Creations this week.  Their question is what is your favorite paper for copics?  I think my very favorite is X-press it.   I also love Neenah. This image was colored on Neenah.   There is a poll over there this week, you may want to check it out, they are giving away a gift certificate to the Paper Temptress so you can try your own!

The Outlawz Tuesday Challenge

It's Tuesday again............I guess that means it is time for a new Color Challenge over at the Outlawz!!  Guylou picked our inspiration photo for us this week along with the application that just so happens to be add texture.  The colors are Apple green, Blue and White.  Green apples are some of my favorite, with a salt shaker of course!  And that fun apple green color is one of my faves to play with!!
A couple of weeks ago I won a prize from Amy Young over at her blog A thousand sheets of paper.  I was so excited to get it in the mail.  It included this darling new image of Darby and Lulu from the Sweet November line of stamps.  I just love this darling image.  She also sent me paper, ribbon, buttons, flowers. So fun to win a prize package from one of my favorite designers!!
I feel like I could have done more on this card, but since I am recovering from surgery on Friday I am just glad I could get this one done and ready!!!  I usually spend some time on the inside, but this time I will add that later!

Don't forget that we have a sponsor this month.

shellysimages is sponsoring the Tuesday Color Challenge.  We also have Oozak and SCACD sponsoring a monthly challenge.  How fun is that!!!
So what do you say?  You gonna come on over and join in the challenge this week?  Hope to see you there!

Memory Board

We lost my mother-in-law on March 19th after a battle with Alzheimers.  She was a beautiful lady.  Barbara had lost her beloved husband 25 years earlier to cancer.  Gene and I were dating at the time of his death.  I was privileged to make her memory board for the memorial service on the 9th of this month.  While preparing it I googled the net for ideas and didn't find many so I thought I would share mine.
I tried to section it for all of the roles that Barbara played in our lives.  Starting with daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Barbara's favorite color was purple, so I matted all with purple, black and white.

The picture above We remember is my husband, myself, and Barbara about 4 months ago.  We had taken her for a drive and then to our youngest daughters new house. My daughter Dani is a photographer and took some pictures that day.  I am so glad she did.

It was good to use my Cricut again.  I think it has been feeling left out!!  Thanks for stopping by my blog! And for letting me share with you.  It is sad to see how a disease can change someone in such little time.

Money Can't Buy Happiness

Don't you just love this image. I have had her for a while and haven't inked her up yet.  I thought the iCopic Design Team call would be the perfect place to ink her up for. This stamp is Whiff of Joy Willow Shopping. You can also find her here at One Crazy Stamper where they are having a challenge for Spring Flowers. I am going to also add this card to their challenge.

I used some of my favorite My Mind's Eye papers along with some flowers and lace from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I sewed around the edges of all the mats.  I used my favorite R's on here.  R-81,83,85,89.  Her boots are E-50,51,53. Her skin is E-11, E-02,E-93,E-000, her bags are E-55,57,59 and BG-10,11,13. The tissue is BG-000 and 0000 and her hair was colored with E-30,31,and 35. The fabulous sentiment is from AmyR over at All That Scraps, called Sassy Sentiments.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.  Wish we could brew a pot of coffee and color together!!! I can't leave though without a shot of the inside. It is very simply done, but I must add it! You know me!

Anita Be Stampin Challenge #16

It is Tuesday and time for another Anita Be Stampin Challenge!!  This is my second post today so I would love it if you would check out the Outlawz challenge I posted earlier!

Today is one of the easiest challenges ever!!  It is an Anything Goes Challenge.  I decided to step out of the box (literally) pun intended! And not do just another card this week.  I did 4 mini cards and a box to put them in.  This was fun.  I used to do these types of things more often.  I hope you enjoy my project this week.

OK, that is enough pictures!!  I just really had a lot of fun with this little project.  Once again I used
Rosie's Sweets from Anita Be Stampin.  Make sure that you head over to the challenge and check out what the other amazing Design Team Members have made this week.  They are pretty fantastic!

I am also going to enter this into the Card Sets Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!!  The challenge is to make a set of cards to give away.  You should play along!!

Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge April Applications

It is Tuesday again, so that means it is time for another April Applications Color Challenge at the Outlawz!!!  This week our inspiration was picked by Jenn. It is one of my favorite things!!
MMmmmmmmmmm, Cheesecake!! I don't know about you but this inspiration picture makes me want some cheesecake!!   The April Application is  Vanilla, brown sugar, and a touch or red.  Add sewing, either machine, hand or stamps!  I decided to use one of my all time favorite stamps by CC Designs, Cocoa Emma.  The sentiment is from AmyR also from All That Scraps, Sassy Sentiments.
I just love these papers.  Both of the red papers are from Christmas lines but don't look Christmasy on this side of the paper.  Pretty sure they are My Mind's Eye!!
And the Copics today:
I hope you can find some time to make it over to the Challenge today.  We have a great sponsor this week.
We also have some great prizes in the month of April from both Oozak as well as SCACD.
I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge over at All That Scraps.

Thanks for stopping by today, please check back later for another great challenge at Anita Be Stampin!

I am so excited to share with you my project with Ariana.  She is so gorgeous and I decided to color her up with my favorite colors!  I used some of my favorite papers from My Minds Eye as well as some fabulous Wild Orchid Craft flowers and lace.
Don't you just love the Fairy Sentiments as well?  There are 12 sentiments with the set.
The inside is pretty simple with some more yummy paper. And the Copics I used on my project:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  The next stop on the hop is Denise.   Remember to leave a comment on every blog on the hop by Sunday, April 10th at 12:01 am CST for your chance to win all of the ABS digi images released today.  Here is the list of all of the stops on the hop today, just in case you get lost along the way:

Happy hopping!
While you are at it, grab a digi and play along with the challenge this week. It is not over until Monday night, you have plenty of time!

April Showers Challenge

I don't know about the weather where you all are, but here in Oregon we have been breaking records with so many days in a row with rain.  Hopefully all this rain will not follow into our April!!  Even if the saying is April showers, to be honest with you I am all rained out!!
Our challenge this week is "umbrella".  Your project must have at least one umbrella somewhere on it.
I kind of cheated, I was torn between these fabulous papers from My Mind's Eye.  One has umbrella's and one has rain.  I chose to use the rain for the front and added the umbrella paper to the inside of the card.
The image that we are playing with this challenge is Ben.  Isn't he cute?  Guylou draws most of her digi-stamps from memories when she was younger.  Love this cute stamp.  I added polka dots to his umbrella. On this card I did some distressing to the papers. The sentiment set is from AmyR at All That Scraps. Love it!  I also used the cloud shaped nestability from Spellbinders.  Some rain drops and a square brad and there is my card!
And of course to show you my umbrella paper lets look at the inside of the card.
The winner of the challenge will be awarded two digistamps of your choice from Guylou's Inimtability Store and will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on an upcoming challenge.  Please make sure to follow the Challenge Policy listed in the left margin as it has recently changed.
I hope you will join in the challenge.  It runs from today through April 21st at 10PM EST.

Anita Be Stampin New Release

Good Morning!  I am so excited to show you a new digital image that will be released at Anita Be Stampin, tomorrow Friday April 8th.  Not only will we have new releases but we are going to have a blog hop to showcase all of them tomorrow.  So I hope you will come back.  Today the design team will be showing you 2 of the new releases.  Meadow is the image that I used and Amberlee you will find on some of the other Design Team members blogs are gorgeous, somewhat sexy fairies that I know you will love.  There is also a sentiment set as well.  Come back tomorrow to hop along and someone will win all of the images for free!!!  Here is my card with Meadow.  As soon as I saw the images I knew I wanted to play with Meadow. I love her wings!

I got this gorgeous lace from Wild Orchid Crafts and couldn't wait to add it to my card.
The spray with crystals came from Michaels, it was part of a wreath that I bought specifically to rip apart and add to cards!!
I added stickles to her wings without any extra color to make them look transparent but sparkly.
The inside is more of the same gorgeous paper that I used on the front.  The Copic colors are as follows.
I am so glad that you stopped by today. If you head on over to the Anita Be Stampin Challenge site we have a challenge going on right now.  The links to the other design team members is right here on my side bar.  Oh and just a reminder of the other images available.
