Anita Be Stampin Challenge #22

Hey guys, it is time for another Tuesday Challenge at Anita Be Stampin.  This weeks challenge is Layer it up.  So I don't generally do lots of layers.  I like to mount my images like the rest of you, but this challenge is lots of layers.  I hope that my card showcases that!!!  I had a blast coloring Willa.  Isn't she gorgeous!!  When all is said and done I wish I had given her ethnic skin.  I have a bridal shower coming up that this would have been perfect for!!  She seems super excited about that ring she has on, doesn't she?!!
I dug into my stash of My Mind's Eye again. I promise I have a couple projects coming up that do not have My Mind's Eye as the focal papers!!  But come on, these are great papers!!!
I haven't put a sentiment on here yet.  I am not quite sure yet what I want this card to say. Maybe you have an idea! LOL.  I tried to get a pic to show the bling.  I used my Copic Spica pens on here as well as stickles on her ring, necklace and earrings.
I used some of my very favorite Copic colors on her dress.  And lets not forget that spellbinder nestabilitie as well.

As always, I love when you stop by.  I hope you will find some time this week to Layer it up with us over at Anita Be Stampin!!

Don't forget, it is Tuesday so this is my second post today, check out what is happening over at the Outlawz!

Ok, now on to this weeks Color Challenge.
Our sponsor for the month of May is Digis with Attitude.  We were given this fabulous image called Shopping Tween.  She is from the Tweens with 'Tude line.
Our color scheme this week is light blue, watermelon, and white.  The Mahvelous May twist is to add lace, scallops or eyelet.   Check out our inspiration photo.
Ok, I will admit that my light blue is a little more blue green than just blue. Oh well!
On Some Odd Girl last week was make a scene and I saw so many fabulous scenes that I wanted to try a basic scene with papers.  I used my favorite Reds for my watermelon color.
Are you looking for the twist?  Where is the lace you say? Or the scallops or eyelet?  It's coming, I promise!!  I put it on the inside with this fabulous sentiment from AmyR over at All That Scraps!
Yes, I know I said I had a project coming  up that isn't My Mind's Eye papers, but this isn't it!!  I used them here as well, along with some Coredinations.  Oh and don't forget the Cuttlebug embossing folder swirls.  And of course the copics I used in this project are as follows.

Don't forget to check back in later. Today I have 2 posts.  Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope to see you at the Outlawz.  I know there is a lot going on right now with school ending and summer starting but I hope you can hop over and check us out!!!

Color Challenge at the Outlawz

Can you all believe it is Tuesday already.  My weekend flew by and then my Monday was, well a Monday!!!
Now here I am getting my post up late!!  First of all we are extending our challenge from last week at Anita Be Stampin.  So you have one more week to get your creations with pearls and lace in.  That means that I don't have a new creation for the ABS blog.  Soooo, I thought I would use an ABS image for my
Tuesday Color Challenge at the Outlawz this week.  Have you seen all the fabulous prizes we are giving away for the month of May?  Better head on over there this week and check them out!
Gotta love these fun colors for the Challenge this week! Here is your Inspiration picture.
Your Mahvelous May twist is to add flowers this week.  How easy is that?!!
Well, believe it or not, these colors were a challenge. You know me, I like to start with the paper and go from there. I couldn't find any paper that qualified with these colors.  Not even my My Mind's Eye Stash! LOL.  So I had to play around and come up with something.  The DCWV all about girls papers had these fabulous purses and shoes in the pineapple color, so I went from there and made a circle card.
Now my pinks are not that bright but they are pink!  In fact I could not get the brightness with my camera of any of the colors.
I used a pink Cherry Blossom from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I think the thing that surprised me the most about ordering from them is that the shipping is not too bad. And the prices on the flowers is definitely worth it!!
Now, that you have seen my card I want to share some fun news coming up soon at the Outlawz.
We are getting ready to Party again.  Did you come to our party last time?  We know how to Party at the Outlawz.  There will be all kinds of prizes again.

Looking forward to seeing your creations.  Come on out and join us!!

Some Odd Girl Make a Scene Challenge

I have fallen in love with these stamps over at Some Odd Girl.  I can't help myself.  The first time I saw one I was hooked.  And then when I won one in a hop, well that did it!!  I recently received 3 more stamps in the mail and I had to ink them up!  You know how that is.  I also got my Harbor Freight Air Compressor in the mail this week.  Just in time to use for this weeks challenge.  It is to Make a Scene.  I know this is a pretty simple scene but I wanted to try out the compressor with a little air brushing.
I cut some clouds out, then air brushed around them with BG000 and BG0000.  I then used some greys to highlight the lower part of the clouds.  I used a little twine for the balloon string.  The paper in the background is from My Mind's Eye. I know, you are all surprised!!  This stamp is Balloon Kaylee.  Isn't she darling?  The balloon has glossy accents on it, but is not photographing that well.
And of course a pic of the Copics used for this card:
I pulled all these colors from that gorgeous paper!

I am adding this card to the challenge over at Wee Memories, the challenge is to stamp it. I used the acrylic stamp for this image.

As always, thanks for stopping by my blog.  I love visitors!!

Brings May Flowers

Last month we had a challenge over at Guylou's Inimitability that was April Showers.  So are you ready for the follow up challenge...........Brings May Flowers?  I am.  Any challenge that lets me add some flowers to my creation is a perfect challenge.  We ask that you use prima type flowers.  Mine are actually from the Recollections line at Michaels.   We also have a color palette for you to use.  Here are your inspiration colors.
I love, love, love these colors!!!  Can I say first of all though, that we are still having showers in Oregon.  Every time I start to complain about the weather I try to remind myself that I am not being flooded out, or wiped away by tornadoes or a tsunami and I am grateful again!!!  I really would though like to have a few days of warmth. :)  I wanted to play again with one of Guylou's newest releases, Leah drinking a cup of Java.  You all know I love my coffee!!  There is nothing like sitting out on the deck on a summer morning with a cup of coffee.
I really just enjoyed coloring up this image.  I played with clouds and grass with this technique for the first time.  You can find this fabulous technique on Dana's Blog.  She has several fabulous tutorials.
I have to say, I really enjoyed using these purples.  Anyone hazard a guess on the papers? Yup, that DP is from My Mind's Eye.  You would think that is all I own!!! The purple paper is Coredinations.
Here is a look at all the Copic Colors I used on this card.
Do you want to see a peak at the inside?  I really haven't done much, just used the flip side of the paper I used on the front.
I hope you will make your way over to the challenge blog and join in with us.  The challenge begins now and ends June 2nd at 10PM EST.  The winner will be awarded 2 digi stamps of your choice and be invited back as a guest design team member in a future challenge.

As always, I wish I cup put on a pot of coffee and sit and chat with you. Or better yet, color some!!!

I am adding this card to the challenge over at Stampin B's.  The challenge is to create a spring scene.

Anita Be Stampin Challenge #21

It is Tuesday again and time for another fabulous challenge over at Anita Be Stampin.  So excited to play with  pearls and lace for this challenge.

Now I know a lot of you hopped along a few weeks ago when we were showcasing the new fairies over at Anita Be Stampin Store.  I decided to use Ariana again this week.  I thought she would be gorgeous with lace and pearls.
The lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts as are the flowers.  This gorgeous paper is from....you guessed it, My Mind's Eye!!!  I can't help myself, I love all their paper!!
And check out the inside.  I used a Martha Stewart around the edges punch as well as more of that gorgeous lace and of course the pearls.
The copics I used on this image are as follows:
These RV's are some of the newer copics.  Did you hear that Copics are going up in price in August.  I have been trying to get what I need before then.  Not sure though that I will ever have everything I need!!
What do you say?  Are you gonna give the challenge a try this week?  You need to head on over and check out all the fabulous projects by the design team this week.

The iCopic challenge this week is blonde hair.  I always use E's now for my blond hair.

And don't forget, since it is Tuesday, check out my other post today for the Tuesday Outlawz Color Challenge.

Tuesday Color Challenge at the Outlaws

It is Tuesday again and that means it is time for another Color Challenge at the Outlawz.  Have you checked out the Main page lately?  We have some awesome sponsors for the month of May.

We have another $50 gift certificate from Oozak up for grabs.  Which by the way is where I get my Copics!
We have a $25 gift certificate from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  She has some fabulous stuff!
And we have a Copic Class from Color me Creative.  Now if that isn't enough to get you playing along we also have a sponsor in the Color Challenge this month as well.
Digi's With Attitude is sponsoring us this month.
Wow, that is a lot of sponsors, and a lot of work getting right on my blog!!!  Now to the design work.  This weeks inspiration picture is from me.

Your color scheme is Denim, white, copper and your Mahvelous May twist is to add stitching on your card or project.  Gosh, I feel like this has taken all day just to get to my card! LOL
Here it is.  I used this darling image from Lili of The Valley.  He is called Big Present.

I love the denim and kraft together.  This is a pretty simple card. I used my Grand Calibur to cut out the shape.  I sewed it into a pocket shape and added a tag inside the pocket.

I sanded the edges a little to distress it.  The Copics I used are as follows.
Now, why don't you head on over and join us for the challenge?  And don't forget, it is Tuesday so that means you need to come back and check out the challenge at Anita Be Stampin this week as well.

Congrats

We have a fabulous new doctor at one of the dental offices I manage. She just finished up her first month with us at the children's clinic.  Well she is just such a go getter, not to mention she is just a sweetheart!  In her first month with us she was in the top 6 in production in our Region. Well, that is just dang good.   She was so excited about it that I thought I would make her an "award" for it!  I decided to use reds so that I could put it into the iCopic challenge this week.
So this is my first attempt at hispanic skin.  She is not only sweet but she is beautiful with the most beautiful skin coloring.  I hope I did it justice.
I used this stamp from Some Odd Girl that I love.  I got an email for a coupon from there and just added 3 more to my stash!!  I just love them!  This one is Dancin Mae.  She is my fave!
I used these awesome flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  And I love this ric rac from the closeout of one of the Joannes stores in our area.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye.

And a picture of the copics I used on this project.  She loved the spica on the ipod!

As always thanks for stopping by my blog!!

Anita Be Stampin Sketch Challenge

Are you ready for another fabulous sketch over at Anita Be Stampin this week?  Anita herself brought us todays sketch.  I can't wait to see what you all do with it!!
How great is that!?!!!  Here is my take on today's sketch.

Have I mentioned lately that PINK may just be the most perfect color?  I love this paper, again from My Mind's Eye.  Gosh, have I used anything else lately?  This image is from Rosie's Sweets.  She comes with several stamps including cupcakes, cake and 6 sentiments.  I added glitter to some scribbles paint for the frosting.

A pretty simple inside, but thought I would show it anyways. :)
And  a picture of the copics I used to color this one up.
I would really love to see you play in the challenge this week.  No worries if you haven't bought your own images yet, there are some freebies over at PaperCraftPlanet.  Just join the group Anita Be Stampin and you will find 2.  Make sure you check out the rules and the prizes over on the challenge blog.  And check out what the other members of the team have for you as well!
I am going to add this to Craft your passion where the challenge is Check it out use, checks, plaid or gingham.

Tuesday Color Challenge at the Outlaws

It is time for another Color Challenge at the Outlaws.  Did you play last week?  We have a fabulous sponsor this month from Digis With Attitude.

The colors this week are Teal, red, golden yellow and the Mahvelous May twist is to add a tag.  Here is our inspiration photo.

And really, I only took my inspiration from the colors this week.  I played around with a Penny Black stamp that I haven't used in a while.  I don't know why as I love this stamp!!
The sentiment is also a Penny Black stamp.  Aren't they darling?  The papers are My Minds Eye.
And my copic colors for this card:
I would really love to see you come on over to the Outlaws this week to play in our challenge.
And don't forget to come back today and check out my post for Anita Be Stampin!

I am going to add this to the challenge at Oldie But a Goodie, I have had this stamp for a couple of years. I hope it qualifies, my flower is a button.
I am also adding this to Lexi's Creations challenge where the challenge is Friendship.
