Kenny K's Think Pink Christmas

I have been wanting to try to color up one of Kenny K's digi-stamps for quite some time. Today I finally bit the bullet!!! I bought my own Kenny K's!!  I wanted one for Christmas, so I chose Xmas Hottie.  I love everything about her!!!  Wish I was shaped like her! LOL.  I decided to make a pink Christmas Card for the Challenge at Kenny K Krafty girlz.  I actually love a pink themed card.  I did one in red as well that I will post another time.
I was shopping for paper last week and I found myself going, "oh yeah, there is R-85, and there is E-51!!" LOL, now I am buying paper by copic colors. Now that would be awesome, wouldn't it?  If you could buy your paper by the color of your markers!! I would love that!!
Here is the inside.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, read on down and you will see my blog with a giveaway.  Was hoping to hit at least 50 followers so I could at least give away 2 markers!!!  I will be drawing tomorrow.
Here are the markers I used. Yup, my favorite pinks!

Cocoa Puff Christmas

I have enjoyed this long weekend.  I really needed a few days off to create and just veg!  I got this amazing Christmas package from my good friend Gina.  I love how she thinks, she sent it early enough to use for Christmas cards and projects.  Gina sent me the most darling stamp by Victoria Case for SCACD. I used so many copics on this little scene!!!
Isn't she darling?  I love that she has a cup of cocoa in her hand.  The snowflake paper is by Echo Park, I used a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.  The sentiment is from CC Designs.   I also used some Glossy Accents on the poinsettia and the candy cane. The inside is simple.
The copics are so many to list, I took a picture instead!!!

Shameless attempt at upping my Followers!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I have been having a peaceful morning today. My hubby picked up the paper for me before I crawled out of bed and then he went hunting. He is a bow hunter so he is traipsing around in the woods this morning. Since we share our children with their in-laws now we are not having Thanksgiving dinner until around 5 PM.  I got to spend this morning finishing up a card to share with you.  So here is the deal, I am going to be involved in a blog hop on the 27th and am going to be a guest designer on another site in December. You can read that post here: http://brenscraps.blogspot.com/2010/11/some-things-to-look-forward-to.html.

I have been racking my brain on how to get more followers, I am a full time worker outside of the home so I don't seem to have as much time to be hopping around to other sites, even though I do my share!!!  Today I have 26 followers, I want more!!!  LOL.  But really, I want to have more so that when I do share my design team creations, I get to share those sites that I am representing to more followers, that is not really shameless is it? :)

How many of you have bought copics thinking that you don't have it, then you get it home and you have it. So I have a few doubles.  No biggie, I can use when the ink runs out in the ones I have, or I can challenge all of you to help me build my followers.

I am going to run this through the holiday weekend.  Today I have 26 followers, and I am going to give a copic marker away to one of those followers, when I reach 50 followers, I am going to add another, if I reach 75, I will add another, it is up to you all how many copic markers I add.  I will add 1 for every 25 followers I get added to my blog.  That's not all, I have a set of stamps that I have from when I was selling CTMH, it has never been used.  I also am adding a pkg of charms as well as some flowers.  I am going to let you decide how you advertise my blog candy.  :)  I will also let you, the winner pick which markers of the ones that I have to add to your collection.
These are all brand new, if I need to buy some more I will!!!!
Here are the other goodies.  I have not figured out the random org, or link it, but I promise I am an honest person and will let my little granddaughter pick the winner.

Now I want to share the card I finished this morning.  It is with a newer CC Designs Stamp, Sugarplums Cookie Emma.  Isn't she a doll?  I used this lovely paper from My Mind's Eye and this Label Nestie that I received from my friend Gina.
I popped the sentiment on the card as a tag.  Of course you know I will show you the inside!!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I love comments by the way!!!
Enjoy your day today with family and friends!!!  Now to get into the kitchen to work on my dinner!

Wednesday Challenge at All that Scraps

Have I mentioned that I love CC Designs from All That Scraps? LOL!  They are really some of my favorite stamps.  The challenge over at atsblog wednesdays challenge this week is to make a gift card holder. It is Christmas shopping time and I know a lot of people like to give gift cards.  This was a fun challenge to do and I hope that you like my little gift card holder.  Now don't you know, if I am going to give a gift card it is going to be a Coffee Card!! So I used one of my fave stamps Sugarplums Cocoa Emma, colored her with copics and added her to my card. You can't see it, but I sewed this little card together.
And the view of the inside where you tuck your gift card. Do you see that ATS sentiment?!
And one more for good measure!!
What a fun challenge this was!
Now the details:
Copics:
R-35,37,39

Some things to look forward to

I have enjoyed my weekend so much. I have got to spend so much time in my craft room. Yeah, I didn't do any laundry, but I made so many cards!!!  I have posted 2 for challenges already.  I am so excited to be the guest design team member for One Crazy Stamper for the month of December.  I got to work on some cards that will be posted next month.

I also finished 2 cards for Guylous Inimitability blog hop that will begin next weekend.
Guylou's Inimitability is releasing 5 Christmas digis and to celebrate we will be having a blog hop with prizes. The hop will start at 7:00AM (EST) pm November 27th and end at 9:00 PM on November 28th.  There will be a prize at every stop.  There will also be a grand prize for someone that leaves comments on every blog that will consist of all 5 new releases.  There are 8 stops along the way, so not too long.  Really hope that you will play along.

Thanks a latte challenge card

It is amazing how quickly you can finish a card if you have a good sketch to follow!!!  This card was put together following the sketch over at The Sweet Stop.  What a great sketch!!! I decided to combine the challenge with the one over at 7 kids challenge blog.  The prize there is a whopping $75 at their store!!

I used one of my all time favorite stamps by Whiff of Joy. Willow with coffee. Everyone that knows me, knows that I am a coffee lover. Can't really start my day without it, and if I do, I am off all day!!!  Right now I am loving the Christmas creamer flavors. My favorite is the EggNog.  Mmmmmmmmmmm....

I had so much fun coloring her up!!  The copics for her dress are : BG-72,75,78 and her skin is E-000,00,02,93.  Hair: E-33,35,37 and coffee cup: E-55,53,51.  Sometimes I am amazed you can get all those colors on such small spaces.  The challenge at The Sweet Stop was to decorate the inside, and as you know I always love to show you the inside.  I didn't do a lot this time, just kept it simple.

Thanks for stopping in, wish I could brew a pot and share it with you all!!

Wiff of Joy

I love hunting season!!!  Why, you ask?  Because today as my husband went back out bow hunting I was able to sit alone in my craft room and create!!  I made 5 cards today. I am going to show you one!!  I will show you the others soon enough.  The one I want to show you today is for the Challenge over at the whiff of joy monday challeng blog.  I love when there is a sketch to follow and Tara has given us this one:

So my take on the sketch is a little different. I used a rectangular image cut out with a nestabilitie.  Love those and am putting some on my Christmas wish list. My list just continues to grow!!  For my card I used Shy Willow.  She was a gift from my friend Gina.  I love Whiff of Joy stamps. Especially Willow as you know!!
She just seems so serene!!  And you know I have to show you some other angles!
I just love these mulberry roses. These are in brown, red, and white.
Of course you want to see the inside, well and if you don't I want to show you!!!
I made this card for a friend that lost her mother last week and was looking for a card to send to the hospice care home she was in before she was able to go there herself to take care of her.

Anita be Stampin Challenge

There is a new challenge blog in  town!!! anita be stampin is having a challenge and I decided to play along. I don't have any of her rubbah yet, so I used a freebie I got over at Paper Craft Planet for the image.  And what is the best part you ask?!!!  There is a sketch to follow!  Here it is:

I love a good sketch, it takes most of the work out of it!!!  I dug around in my stash for most of my papers for the challenge. The background paper is from Recollections and the strips are from SEI.
The main copic colors are:
R-81,83,85
E-000,00,02,93
BG-10,13,15
Those flowers are mulberry from Recollections and the pin is from Fancy Pants. You know me, I need to show you some more angles!
And the inside:

Elegant Challenge

Elegant Challenge

According to the free dictionary. com, the word elegance is defined as:
eleganceelegancy
n pl -gances-gancies
1. dignified grace in appearance, movement, or behaviour
2. good taste in design, style, arrangement, etc.
3. something elegant; a refinement

We are having a challenge over on Guylou's Inimitability Blog.  The Challenge is to make a card with an elegant theme, however you interpret that!!!  You can enter as many cards as you would like, but to be a winner of the Challenge you must use one of Guylou's images.  You don't have one you say?  Well why not?  You can find one at Guylou's store, you can get a freebie over at CDAC, or become a member of Guylou's blog and get a free image.   So what does ELEGANT mean to you?  When I saw what the challenge was and the image to be used, I thought of, little black dress, pearls, heels, makeup, a night out on the town.  Here is the card that I came up with:
Isn't this paper just fabulous?  It is by Graphic 45, En Vogue.  I added some pearls at her neckline and finished with black and white clear flower buttons and a black satin bow.
The copics I used today are:
Skin: E-000,00,02,93
Gloves and Slippers: E-30,31,33
Dress: C-00,01,03,05
Hair: Y-21,23,26
I hope that you will play along, or hop on over and grab a free digi for a future challenge, we would love to have you.  There are some gorgeous cards over there!!!

Holiday Wishes

What is better than getting your Christmas Cards completed?  Well, making them fit an awesome challenge over at The Sweet Shop that is!!!  They posted this great sketch for us to use.

So, of course I used one of my new favorite stamps by CC Designs for the challenge.
I found the best papers this year by Echo Park, Wintertime as well as the turquoise paper from SEI, Glitzmas.  I added some mulberry roses by Recollections and curled the stems rather than cutting them.  The ribbon is from my staff, I believe some older Fancy Pants.
Had to add a side view and you know it is not finished until I show you the inside!
Copics used on the image are:
Hair: E-33, 35, 37
Skin: E-000, 00, 02, 93
Dress: BG-000, 72, 75, 78
Wings:E-51, 53
and to ink around the sentiment I used R-89
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Willow Christmas Card

Today I pulled out my first Whiff of Joy Willow Stamp.  Willow with Cocoa. This stamp can be used for cocoa, coffee, or tea.  It just resonates the holiday season to me though and I decided to use her for the Challenge over at wojmondaychallenge.  I also incorporated a gate fold so that I could enter into the challenge at justusgirls. These cards to me, are so difficult to photograph!!  But here is my effort!!
And of course the inside of the card with a sentiment from All that Scraps
The copics that I used to color this Whiff of Joy stamp are:
Hair: E-33,35,37
Skin:E-000,00,02,93
Sweater:R-32,34,37,39
Jeans:B-91,93,95,97
also YG-03.
These papers are from some scraps I had last year and some ribbon also from my stash!
Thanks for dropping by my blog, wish we could sit and have a cup!!

Cupcake Kiki

I think that of all the CC Designs stamps, Kiki may just be my favorite!!  I got this little Kike La Rue with a cupcake last week and thought that she would be perfect for the challenge over at All That Scraps this week.  They are celebrating Amy Young’s birthday designing for All That Scraps!  So the challenge this week is to make a project that is birthday themed.  What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a cupcake.  On this cupcake I used some of the liquid snow that puffs up and added glitter to it before I puffed it up with heat.  I sewed every layer onto this card and used a couple different punches. I believe that both are from EK Success.  These papers are some of my favorite from My Mind's Eye, Quite Contrary Line.  I just love the colors in it.
Isn't she darling!!!  Another angle so you can maybe see the dimension.
Isn't that flower darling?  I love these mulberry roses from Recollections.  I used the oval Nestie in my cuttlebug and some ribbon from my stash.
I have to of course leave you a shot of the inside as well.
I tried a new combination of pinks this week.
For her dress and shoes and inside cupcake I used
RV-32, 34, 00
YG-000,01,05,06  I really want 03!!
Skin: E-000,00,02,93
The stamp can be found at one of my favorite stores http://www.allthatscraps.com/
This Card will also fit the Challenge found at: http://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

You're Tea~riffic

I am so blessed to have an amazing friend, Kristin.  I work with her, but she manages at another location. Recently I had to request some help from her. She never hesitates but is always so willing to be a support for me. I hope that I am as much of a support for her as she is to me.  Of course I had to make her a card!!  I used my favorite Whiff of Joy stamp, Willow with coffee, but made it with a tea twist. Everyone knows I love coffee, but I grew up with a Gramma that loved tea.  Some of my first memories of Gramma Lusch are when we would have tea (lots of milk) and cookies at her table.  I loved having tea with my Gramma.  I generally have tea when I get together with my friend Kristin.  There is a place that we pop into that has an amazing Vanilla Coconut Tea blend and I love it!!!  So rather than making her a coffee themed card I thought I would make it Tea themed.
And of course, a view of the inside!

How about one more close up!!!
I love these papers from My Mind's Eye, Little Miss Muffet Line. They are such a thick gorgeous paper to work with. I just love them!!  Plus they match perfectly with my favorite Copic red combination.
Copic are as follows:
Hair: E-13,17,27
Dress, shoes and purse:R-81,83,85,89
Cup: E-30,31,34
Skin: E-000,00,02,93
I am also going to add this card to the challenge at: Cute Card Thursday

As always thanks for stopping by, would love to invite you in for a cup of coffee, or in this case let's make it tea!!!

Magnolia Fall Friend Card

I thought I would give you a second post today. Please scroll down to see my first of the day. :) I have had an enjoyable Sunday doing a little coloring and creating.   I loved the Challenge that the All That Scraps Blog has for Magnolias this week.  It is a fall theme with a fold.  I thought that I would give it a try.  I stamped Tilda first and then masked her to stamp the pumpkin behind her.  The sentiment is from Stamping up while the paper is from CTMH.  I love anything stamping, crafting related, I am not committed to either company!! LOL.  The ink is also CTMH in ivy.  The other part of the challenge was to leave a stamping tip. My tip for today is when masking, put the extra image that you used to mask with in the package with the stamp. That way you won't have to cut her out again the next time.
It has been a while since I did one of these cards.  I am not sure what type of fold it is called.  The leaf punch is from EK success.  The copics used on the image are:
Skin:  E-000,00,02,93
Pumpkin: YR-02,04,07 and YG-93,95,97
Dress: E-50,51,53,55 and R-22,24

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Scrapping Crafts November Challenge

I recently joined the SSC site where I have signed up for their free Copic Class. I also joined in the November Color Combo Challenge.  The challenge was to make a Winter or Holiday themed card or project using the colors light blue, pink, red, and white.  I have been playing with these CC Designs Christmas stamps and wonderful Echo Park papers. The have an awesome pink, red and blue color combo that I thought would fit this challenge.  So the light blue is in the image and the trees.

The Copic Colors used on this image are:

Hair: Y-21,23,26,28
Skin: E-000,00,93,95
Dress: R-81,83,85,89
Socks and sash: E-51,53
Ornament: BG-000,01,02
Shoes: E-25,27,29.

Give Thanks Challenge

I am a little late on my blog today.  I lost a very precious woman in my life this week. My Aunt Barb. She passed away Monday morning very peacefully.  We found out that she had cancer on October 8th and she was gone Nov 1st at 4AM.  Since we are concentrating on Giving Thanks over at guylous inimitability , I thought it would be fitting to tell how much I have been giving thanks this week for the life that my Aunt Barb lived.  She lived to 73 years old.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, aunt, and friend.   I have been out of town the last 3 days, spending time with family without my craftroom so I don't have a new creation for you today.  My Aunt Barb was one of many crafters in my family. She was a scrapbooker, crocheter, baker, and a wonderful cook.  I was lucky to have her in my life.

I am going to share 2 projects that I have previously shared that I used Guylou's digital stamps on.  The pumpkins in the wheelbarrow and the fence with the pumpkins are such awesome background sets.  Look around at the other design team cards and you will see it used with some Magnolias or CC Designs stamps as well as other of Guylou's images.

On this little project I printed the image twice and popped the pumpkins out!

Guylou is doing a Give Thanks Challenge.  Click on this link and it will take you to Guylou's blog.  The challenge requires you to use one of Guylou's images, you can find them here at her store or if you join the CDAC group you will receive a free digital image.
We would love to have you join us in the Challenge this week.  The challenge begins today and runs through November 18th.  As always, thanks for stopping by, wish you could stop in and share a pot of coffee with me!!
