I recently was invited by an online friend to join A Day For Daisies on the
Simply Scrapping ning group. When the group has 100 members there will be a free digi image given out. Head on over and tell them Brenda sent you. :)
They recently released some gorgeous images of mother and babies. The images are called
You Make Me Happy. I just think these are gorgeous images. I had a hard time choosing, but I really love this image. I have a friend that just recently had a baby. This week in fact and I wanted to make her a special card. She had a sweet little baby girl, so there has to be some pink involved!! I wanted to make a card for the Challenge this week. The challenge is
Very Vintage. There are new releases as well as a freebie to use if you want to make a project and enter it into the challenge. I have been wanting to get this image inked up though so I chose to use it instead of the freebie. I will use that later!!!
I had this gorgeous paper called Lost & Found by My Mind's Eye, I thought the roses looked vintage. I used CTMH creme brulee ink to ink around the edges of the image and papers to give it that vintage feeling. The flowers are from
Wild Orchid Crafts. The black bling is from Prima. Ok, onto the card.
I stepped away from my favorite Copic Colors that I use so often and used the G-21,24,28. I had used the G-21 as well, but just didn't like the blend and went over it. The baby's blanket is R-20,21,22. The skin colors were E-0000, 00,01,02,93,95. I wanted the mom's hair to be black, I hope it is not appearing grey!! I used C-5,3,1.
The sentiment is from
AmyR, Get well sentiments. I thought this sentiment would also be good for a new mom. I inked again with the creme brulee and added another piece of Prima swirls bling. The paper on the inside is another from the same line, but it has smaller roses. I also used 3 different nesties on this card.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by. I am enjoying a quiet Sunday, doing some coloring and catching up on design team stuff. Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for my Guest team spot for All that Scraps.
