A Day For Daisies

So I know this card looks very much like the one I posted this weekend.  Do you see what the differences are?  First of all, I adore this image.  But second of all I needed to make a card for one of my docs whose last day with us is tomorrow.  She is from India and she is preggo with her first child.  She has always been appreciative of the cards I have made her in the past and I wanted to make her a special one for her going away card.
The thing is, I have never colored Indian skin before.  This is my first attempt.  What do you think?  I used
E-11, 15, and 17 on the mother and E-11, 13, and 15 on the baby.
On her outfit I used BG-32, 34 and G-00.  The baby's blanket is G-21,24,28.  Her hair is E-29,27, and
E-13.

I added a Wild Orchid Crafts cherry blossom to the gold sheer ribbon.  The bling is Prima.
Can you guess who makes the paper?  My Mind's Eye of course.  Actually last time I was at the Craft Warehouse the paper was 40% off, and some of the MME was 50% off.  I love a good sale.  The sentiment on the inside I think is so fitting for someone starting a new phase of their life.
It is a sentiment by AmyR.  One of my favorites, it is her Get well sentiments.  I just love these and so many more of hers!!  My Grand Calibur is due to arrive on Friday, the snow has slowed it down.  I ran this Grand nestie through the cuttlebug.  It is one of the smallest of the set.  It comes in at about 5.5 inches.  I can't wait to cut with the biggest in the set!!  I am loving these shaped cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  It is so much appreciated.

Agreed! It is a beautiful image!! At first, when I read that you were using for a goodbye card, I thought "???". Good thing I continue to read and found out that the doc is pregnant. She will love it!! It is beautiful!!!
Hugs!

I can see why you love this image Brenda: there is a tenderness to it that is very touching. You've done a wonderful job on this card - as usual! Love the colours (her skin looks good). I love the shaped card too, I'm trying hard to win a Grand Calibur (comp in Aus), you'll have to keep us informed as to whether it's a "must buy" (in the unlikely, ha ha, event that I DON'T win mine)

Beautiful card, Bren! I think you captured Indian skin very well. I love the greens in the outfit and baby blankie, too. Great sentiment.

You totally made me a ADFD believer Bren - I love the differences on this card from the other (although both are awesome!). I seriously LOVE the skin tone and the cool green --really makes her and the baby stand out. Gorgeous sentiment to match, and I'm sure she will love it!
