Tuesday Color Challenge at the Outlaws and We are Partying

It is time for The Oulawz Summer Party at the Color Challenge, and you are invited to our "PICNIC" this week.  Enter a card, layout or altered item using the Color Combo provided.  Don't forget to pack your Picnic Basket with the add in of the use of punches!  Can't wait to see what you pack in your basket!
What do you think of the inspiration photo this week?  The colors are Red and White Checks, the June Jolt twist is to use punches.  Don't you know that this was my pick and I almost forgot to use a punch?! Duh!!!  We have a fabulous sponsor in the Color Challenge for the month of June.                http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.com/

I chose to use the image Strawberry Cupcake.

I used glossy accents on the strawberry and colored it with my copics.  As you can see, I added the punch to the inside of the card.  I had this little cupcake punch that I couldn't make fit on the front!!  So I put it on the inside!  Hey, it is there, right?!!

Now, we have so much going on over at the Outlawz this week.  You need to head on over and check out all the sponsors for our kick off the summer party!

Happy Fathers Day LOTV

This past weekend we finally had some beautiful weather here in Oregon.  We bought a travel trailer recently and have been dying to take it out.  I however don't like to camp in the cold and rain, even inside a trailer.  Personally, I still like to sit by a fire and make smores.  I said I wasn't going to this time. You know, that forever quest to lose weight.  Well, I have been really good lately but, my daughter and her husband came and they brought the smore stuff and don't you know I caved!!  Oh yeah, back to the post.  So what does camping have to do with card making?  Well, I can't take along my copics (too much work) but I packed my prisma pencils, my oderless mineral spirits, some 6X6 paper pads, images to color, and went camping!!  I bought this darling image from Lily of the Valley specifically for some Father's Day cards. My husband has been playing the wii lately when I craft or browse blogs so when I saw this image I had to have it!!   This stamp is called Computer Fun, but I think it looks like the wii console we have.
The sentiment is from the Happy Circular Sentiments set.  I used a couple of different punches so that I could enter it into the Lily of the valley challenge this week.  I was thinking about doing a comparison with my copics but if I do that I may never get it uploaded!! LOL.  So one thing I want you to notice is his shorts! My husband wears camo shorts all the time!
I actually got 3 images colored while camping this weekend. How very peaceful to not have TV or a computer to steal my time!!  Thanks so much for stopping by. I love visitors!

I also am entering this card in the following challenges:
Here Come The Boys-fathers day
designed2delight-fathers day or manly cards w/o flowers

Monochromatic Challenge at Guylou's Inimitability

Monochromatic? When I have so many fabulous copic colors?  And so many lovely My Mind's Eye papers?  Well then, I broke out of a box with this challenge, because not only did I do a monochromatic card, I also didn't use any MME papers!  I told you it was coming!!  For this card I used some Jenni Bowlin  and some Making Memories papers.  Now then, if I am using my copics, the only color I could really use for this challenge HAD to be browns, or in Copic talk Earth tones.  :)   For this card I used Mark and Louise are expecting.  I found it hard to not only color one person with the same tones but two?  Luckily there is a wide spectrum in this color family!!
I did a double fold card for this challenge and used somewhat masculine papers.  This card is for a co-worker having a little boy so I thought that the masculine papers would work OK.
These type of cards are so hard to photograph.    So I added a clip to the top just to get a good picture.
The sentiment is from a little Studio G set.  And the crib is an iCling stamp.  Just one of the things I picked up this weekend on my trip to the craft store.  And check out that gorgeous twine I added.
Now the details of the challenge.  Make it Monochromatic and link it up at Guylou's Challenge Blog.  This challenge is going to run until June 16th.   That is lots of time for you to play along with us.  Now head on over and see all the fabulous projects by the design team.
There you go, all earth tones!!
As you know, Guylou always has prizes for our winners of her fabulous Digi designs, well this challenge we have another sponsor.
Through The Craftroom Door is offering a one year PDF subscription.  How fun is that?!!

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you playing this week.
